Nick Madden is set to make his AFL debut this weekend for GWS.

After featuring in the club's academy, the Giants selected the 21-year-old ruck in the 2022 Rookie Draft.

The 204cm talent has had to be patient since then, spending two and a half seasons in the VFL before receiving a senior call-up.

Madden hit his stride in the 'twos' in 2024 to put himself in the selection frame.

This year, he has averaged 19.9 disposals, 33.1 hitouts, 6.2 clearances, 3.7 marks and three tackles per VFL game.

His form has now earned him an opportunity at AFL level.

Madden's long-awaited debut is set for Saturday, when GWS take on Port Adelaide in Canberra.

The Riverina-born product is one of four Giants debutants in 2025, joining James Leake, Josaia Delana and Cody Angove.

After inking a two-year extension last year, he is committed to the club through to the end of 2026.
