Harry McKay has revealed he embraces speculation about his Carlton future and their struggling season as 'part of the game'.
The Blues forward has only kicked nine goals in seven games across 2025 and is currently sidelined for the next four-to-six weeks with a knee injury.
McKay's form has mirrored Carlton's season, with the Blues losing their last two matches against North Melbourne and Port Adelaide, plummeting to 6-9 and 11th on the ladder.
There has been suggestion from AFL pundits that Carlton should put several players, including McKay, up for trade as a way of generating draft capital and salary cap space for a rebuild.

McKay himself revealed he was aware of the news surrounding his future, but explained he felt that noise was all part of playing for a big club.
“Every footy club at the end of the year has changes in some degree, whether it’s big change or little change. We’ll be no different when our season finishes,” McKay said on AFL 360.
“As a player at a big club there’s always hypotheticals and there’s always things thrown around. That’s part of it when we’re not going so well, those questions come up. Being part of a big club that always happens.
“From our day-to-day we’re focused on bringing good energy and positivity and playing out our last two months of the year. As a player that’s where all our energy goes.
“What makes the game so great is lots of people talk about it and have opinions. It’s a beautiful part of the game. But as a player, especially in these scenarios, it’s about what you can control and the day-to-day energy you bring.”
The spotlight will once again be on Carlton on Friday night, as they take on Collingwood at the MCG.
