The Savannah Bananas live for the viral moments, but their latest one wasn’t exactly planned. Known for their circus-style baseball antics, the Bananas thrive on entertainment as much as competition. Their players dance, perform stunts, and work the crowd with over-the-top flair that keeps fans coming back.

When showboating goes sideways on national TV

This time, though, things didn’t go quite as expected.

During a live segment on CNN News Central, one of the Bananas’ players attempted to wow the national audience with a backflip. What followed was less than graceful — a full-on faceplant that left both the player and viewers stunned.

The wipeout looked rough. He went airborne, lost control mid-rotation, and slammed into the turf hard. The fall wasn’t just awkward. It looked painful.

He eventually got up on his feet, but... Still

Whatever the case, the clip is already making the rounds across social media, adding another viral moment to the team’s growing collection, just not the kind they probably wanted.

Despite the mishap, the Savannah Bananas remain one of the hottest tickets in town. Their summer games are sold out through August, and they’re continuing to tour across the country with opponents like the Party Animals, Texas Tailgaters, Firefighters, and Visitors.
