Carlos Alcaraz moved into his second consecutive French Open final after his semifinal opponent Lorenzo Musetti retired in the fourth set on Friday. The 22-year-old is attempting to become the first man to defend his French Open crown since Rafael Nadal in 2020.
Musetti, who underwent treatment on his left leg in the third set, was trailing 6-4, 6-7, 0-6, 0-2 when he decided to call it quits.
Last year, the Spaniard had defeated Alexander Zverev in the final to become the youngest man to win the Grand Slam titles on all three surfaces, at just 21 years.
Here's everything you need to know about Alcaraz's appearance at the French Open, including a television schedule, scores, and results from the Spaniard's matches at Roland Garros.
When is Carlos Alcaraz's next match at French Open 2025?
Carlos Alcaraz had a favorable draw in this year's French Open, with Sinner, history-chasing Novak Djokovic and Zverev all placed in the top half.
Despite Musetti taking the lead under the roof at Court Philippe-Chatrier, Alcaraz continued with his aggressive approach. However, the floodgates opened once he won the tie-break at 7-3. Having clocked up some serious mileage in the tournament, the Italian wilted away in the third set.
Alcaraz will face Jannik Sinner in the final on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. ET.
