Titans' Treylon Burks gets brutal injury update after 'sick' catch at training camp image

Treylon Burks may finally have been ready for his breakthrough.

Instead, a heartbreaking injury update on a Saturday in July for the young Tennessee Titans wide receiver.

ESPN's Ian Rapoport reported that Burks has sustained a fractured collarbone.

"Treylon Burks showed up at camp in great shape and fractured his collarbone on a sick, diving catch on the sidelines. Just bad luck all around," wrote Rapoport on X.

Burks has never lived up to the hype.

He was the No. 18 overall pick in 2022 out of Arkansas.

He had 33 catches as a rookie in 11 games, for 444 yards.

He again played 11 games in 2023, this time grabbing just 16 passes for 221 yards.

Injuries limited him to just five games in 2024, and four total catches.

Now he's got an injury that very well could keep him out of the entire season, but certainly will lead to an extended absence regardless.

This is the final year of Burks' contract, so it's not a given that he'll ever play for the Titans again.
