When is the 2025 Shanghai Masters tournament?

The 2025 Shanghai Masters is a week-long event that will begin on Monday, July 28.

With 24 players competing at the Shanghai Masters two matches will take place per session during the first round. The second round will commence on Tuesday, July 29, followed by the quarterfinals on Wednesday, July 30, and the semifinals on Thursday, July 31. 

That final will take place across two days with the first half being played on Saturday, August 2, before culminating on Sunday, August 3, crowning this year's champion.

2025 World Snooker Championships prize money

As was the case last year, the total prize fund for the 2025 World Snooker Championship is £825,000 across 24 competitors. The winner of the competition will receive £210,000, with the runner-up receiving £105,000.

Every player competing at this year's World Snooker Championship is in line to receive at least £10,000, with the individual who records the highest break in the tournament to see their overall winnings topped up with another £10,000.
