The wet weather has continued, as riders endured the conditions during a mountainous stage with 3250m of climbing.

It was Thymen Arensman who was able to put together a gritty ride to take home the stage win.

Thymen Arensman gets second stage win of 2025 Tour de France

With about 13km to go, Thymen Arensman made an aggressive push to separate himself from Vingegaard and Pogačar.

He built his lead up to over 30+ seconds between him and the yellow group of Pogačar and Vingegaard.

Pogačar and Vingegaard made a late attempt to try and get past Arensman, but it was too little, too late, as Arensman held on to win the stage by a couple of seconds.

Pogačar did his job well, which was making sure Vingegaard didn't make up significant time on him in the GC race.

There are just a couple of stages left, so barring any disasters, Pogačar looks like the undeniable favorite to hold on for the GC win.
