Almost two years ago, Daniel Dubois was close to becoming a unified heavyweight champion. However, a call many deemed controversial played a factor in his goal not coming to fruition. Now the IBF champion, Dubois, looks for revenge on July 19 against Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk (23-0) and Dubois (22-2) compete at Wembley Stadium to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion. It will be Dubois' second straight fight at Wembley.
After beating Anthony Joshua twice, Usyk faced a rising Brit in Dubois in 2023. The former undisputed cruiserweight champion got put down with a punch in the fifth that was ruled a low blow. The replay showed it was close to the beltline. After taking a few minutes to recover, Usyk would land significantly more shots against Dubois, ending the fight in the ninth.
Usyk went on to beat Tyson Fury twice to become the undisputed champion. Dubois went on a run that saw him beat Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic (for the then-interim IBF belt), and Joshua, all via knockout. He was supposed to fight Joseph Parker in February, but fell ill before the fight.

The Ukrainian wants to hold all the gold again, while a surging Dubois looks to continue his momentum, this time with home-field advantage.
"I'm grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship," said Usyk. "Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt — now I want it back."
"This is the fight I wanted and demanded and now I get my chance for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk," said Dubois. "I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgement of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city.
"I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now, and Usyk will find this out for himself on July 19. I would like to thank my promoter, Frank, for making this happen for me, and I intend to repay him by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world."
