Emma Raducanu next match: Wimbledon 2025 schedule for British No.1 image

Emma Raducanu has put recent years of injury strife behind her to once again become top dog in British women's tennis.

Raducanu's run to the quarterfinals of Queens moved her up to 38 in the world rankings, usurping Katie Boulter as the best in the UK.

The 2021 US Open champion opened up with an assured straight-sets win over teenage compatriot Mimi Xu at Wimbledon, before dispatching 2023 champion marketa Vondrousova 6-3 6-3.

Now 22 and playing some of her best tennis since that incredible breakout triumph at Flushing Meadows, home hopes are steadily building around Raducanu at SW19 once more.

Emma Raducanu's next match

Raducanu faces a mouthwatering clash against world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka on Friday, June 4.

A three-time grand slam champion, Sabalenka has reached the final of each of this season's majors, coming up short against Madison Keys in Australia and Coco Gauff at Roland-Garros.

Raducanu and Sabalenka have only played once previously at Indian Wells in 2024. The Belarussian won the Round of 32 encounter in straight sets.

Emma Raducanu's Wimbledon record

Raducanu holds a Wimbledon win over Vondrousova, who she beat in the second round in 2021.

A further win over Sorana Cirstea made her the youngest British woman to reach round four in the Open era. Raducanu withdrew after experiencing breathing difficulties during the second set against Ajla Tomljanovic.

She returned to SW19 a year later, somewhat improbably, as reigning US Open champion but lost to the experienced Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia in round two.

Surgery to both wrists and a similarly severe ankle problem set the tone for a wretched 2023 for Raducanu, when she was understandably a Wimbledon absentee.

A return in 2024 saw her match her previous best of a run to the fourth round. However, there was an air of disappointment around Raducanu's exit at the hands of qualifier Lulu Sun, given she dispatched then world No. 9 Maria Sakkari in the previous round.
