After coming so close to winning the Super Bowl two years ago, the 49ers missed the playoffs in 2024, leading to a bit of a reboot for the club.

The 49ers are hoping to fix the team's roster issues with young talent. As Brock Purdy gets closer and closer to a contract extension, it's even more important for the 49ers to nail their draft picks.

The 49ers didn't make any major offseason splashes, but they did lose a few key contributors, including Deebo Samuel and Dre Greenlaw. That is on top of the existing issues that plagued the team throughout the 2024 season.

Here's a look at how the 49ers tackled the 2025 NFL Draft.

  • Round 2, Pick No. 43: Alfred Collins, DT, Texas
  • Round 3, Pick No. 75: Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State
  • Round 3, Pick No. 100: Upton Stout, CB, Western Kentucky

  • Round 5, Pick No. 160: Marques Sigle, S, Kansas State
  • Round 7, Pick No. 227: Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana

49ers NFL Draft needs

  • Offensive Line: San Francisco lost two key offensive linemen in free agency, as Aaron Banks signed with the Packers and Jaylon Moore signed with the Chiefs. Since the 49ers didn't add any major offensive linemen in free agency, this unit is likely a clear-cut focus for the organization during the draft.
  • Defensive Line: The 49ers' defensive line has taken a hit in recent years, and with Robert Saleh returning as the team's defensive coordinator, the line should be an area the team addresses in the draft.
  • Linebacker: Last year, as Dre Greenlaw recovered from an Achilles injury, San Francisco struggled to replace him. Greenlaw then signed a deal with the Broncos in free agency, now fully opening up a spot next to Fred Warner on the team's defense.
