The vibes seem incredible right now in San Francisco.

The 49ers are having an energetic offseason program, and much of it stems from one man: Robert Salah.

Salah used to be the 49ers' defensive coordinator, left to be the Jets' head coach, and now he opted to return back to San Francisco in his old role.

George Kittle, a tight end who doesn't even play under Salah, has seen the difference.

"Violence is coming is what I would say," Kittle said on The Rich Eisen Show.

Look out, apparently.

Salah had impressive defenses in San Francisco, and then he still had strong units in New York even as the Jets struggle.

"He's really good at his job, and I'm really excited that we somehow convinced him to be our defensive coordinator again," Kittle said. "He knows what he's talking about, he's inspiring, he gets the boys fired up, and he just happens to also be really, really smart. So, I'm pumped to have him back in the building, just hanging out with him a little bit, talking about stuff. You can just tell he's ready to roll this year, and he's gonna get the boys fired up."

The 49ers had an unexpectedly poor 2024 season. Much of that stemmed from injuries, but the defense was often not quite good enough to make up for a banged-up offense.

Now, San Francisco seems to have things in order again, and Salah is a big reason why.

They might just be ready to hit the rest of the NFL right in the mouth.
