It was a busy weekend in the NFL, with Dallas Cowboys star and former Penn State standout Micah Parsons requesting a trade.
Parsons proved during his short time at Penn State to be one of the top players in the country, and has only dominated the NFL since. One could make the argument that Parsons is among the elite of the elite in the NFL, and there's a price tag that comes with that.

Jerry Jones of the Cowboys has no willingness to give him that price just yet, but there's still a sense that the Cowboys and Parsons can get a deal done over the next few weeks to months.
Ultimately, if they don't, they could run into the issue of him not wanting to play in games.
Many around the NFL have spoken about it, including current Cowboys players. Some around the NBA have also talked about it, including Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, who took to Twitter and responded to Parsons' trade request with a telling line.
"This why you pay the man early, when someone will take less early to stay in a place he wanted to be forever, you do it… the price only goes up now! Get what you deserve bro!"

Get what you deserve bro!
As Young touched on, it's fair to suggest that Parsons’ price has only gone up over the past few weeks to months.
With multiple players getting long-term deals, the Cowboys didn't put themselves in the best position to keep Parsons around for a favorable price.
Unless the front office wants to keep him around, that price is likely $10 to $15 million more than it once was.
