The dramatic Christian Horner saga, has taken another significant turn.

Reports are now emerging that the female employee who initially accused Horner of inappropriate behaviour has made a move away from the sport entirely.

Horner was sacked from his role as Red Bull Team Principal and CEO on July 9, 2025, after two decades at the helm.

His dismissal followed months of intense scrutiny and an internal investigation, an appeal process, and ultimately a period of instability within the championship-winning team.

Laurent Mekies has since taken over the reins at Red Bull Racing.

The employee in question had initially brought forward allegations of inappropriate conduct against Horner in February 2024.

Following an internal investigation commissioned by Red Bull GmbH, Horner was cleared of wrongdoing.

The situation, however, escalated with a subsequent leak of alleged WhatsApp messages, and the employee herself was reportedly suspended by the team in March 2024, with her appeal against Horner being dismissed in August 2024.

While Red Bull has consistently maintained that the matter was a private internal affair and refrained from commenting on specific details regarding the employee, this latest development signals a potential desire for complete separation from the highly publicised controversy.

The nature of her departure from the F1 ecosystem remains undisclosed, but sources suggest a clear move away from her previous involvement within the sport.

The allegations and subsequent fallout created unprecedented disruption within Red Bull Racing and cast a long shadow over the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season.

While Horner was consistently cleared through Red Bull's internal processes, the ongoing public and media attention, coupled with reported internal power struggles, ultimately led to his departure.

This latest report, if confirmed, marks another chapter closed in a saga that has deeply impacted the sport.

For the employee involved, it represents a definitive step away from the glare of the Formula 1 spotlight after an arduous and public ordeal.

For Red Bull, now under new leadership, it may offer further hope of drawing a final line under a controversy that has dominated headlines for well over a year.
