Ferrari has officially silenced months of speculation, announcing today that Team Principal Fréd Vasseur has signed a new multi-year contract to remain at the helm of the Scuderia.
The extension, confirmed just ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, is a significant vote of confidence in Vasseur's leadership despite a challenging 2025 Formula 1 season where Ferrari is yet to claim a Grand Prix victory.
The news brings much-needed stability to the iconic Italian team, which has been the subject of intense media scrutiny and rumours regarding Vasseur's future.
Reports had even linked recently dismissed Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner with the Ferrari role, a notion firmly put to rest by today's announcement.

"Over the past 30 months, we've laid strong foundations, and now we must build on them with consistency and determination.
"We know what's expected, and we're all fully committed to meeting those expectations and taking the next step forward together."
The timing of the announcement is strategic, coming before the crucial 2026 regulation changes, which will see sweeping overhauls to both chassis and power unit designs.
Ferrari will be keen to hit the ground running in this new era, and Vasseur's continued leadership provides the continuity required for such a significant undertaking.
His role in convincing Lewis Hamilton to join Maranello for 2025 also underscores his influence and long-term vision for the Scuderia.
