Tottenham are reportedly eyeing up a shock transfer raid on rivals Liverpool next month.

New Spurs boss Thomas Frank is looking to bolster his squad in the coming weeks as part of his new vision in North London.

Crystal Palace forward Eberehci Eze is an option for the Dane alongside a possible move for his former striker Bryan Mbeumo back at Brentford.

If he misses out in the race for either player, with Arsenal also looking at Eze and Manchester United chasing Mbeumo, Frank could reach out to Arne Slot over an offer for Harvey Elliott.

Elliott is considering his future at Anfield after only playing a back up role in Slot's first campaign on Merseyside.

That speculation has been turbo-charged in recent weeks following Elliott's superb showing at the U21 UEFA European Championships in Slovakia.

The 22-year-old scored his fifth goal of the tournament in England's extra-time final win over Germany - as the Three Lions defended their title from 2023 - and the former Fulham midfielder also landed the MVP award.

Why is Harvey Elliott leaving Liverpool?

Elliott's role has shifted significantly between the final year of Jurgen Klopp and the arrival of Slot.

His numbers from 2024/25 totalled at 28 games in all competitions, with just six starts, plus five goals and three assists in 822 minutes of action.

In comparison to Klopp's final season in 2023/24, he made 53 appearances, including 27 starts, with four goals and 11 assists.

During the Euros tournament, Elliott openly admitted concerns over 'wasting his career' if he remains on the bench at Liverpool, and that will give Spurs a boost in the £40m transfer race.

As per reports from TBR Football, that will be Liverpool's starting price in any negotiations, but his showing at the tournament could trigger interest from RB Leipzig and bolster Slot's position to demand more money.
