France's top flight football competition, Ligue 1, returns for its 88th edition, bringing another thrilling campaign for all football fans.
With emerging talents and some fierce rivalries in the competition, Ligue 1 boasts the charm of another tough and challenging tournament. Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champion, fulfilled their dream after a sensational 2024-25 season. Luis Enrique’s side completed their treble after winning Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League last term.
Monaco and Marseille will be aiming to build on their last season's performance and strengthen themselves to pose a threat to PSG's glory this season. Marseille, under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi, remains a serious threat, while Lille and Monaco will be looking to put pressure from the top.
With the addition of new teams this season, the competition has gotten a little more competitive. Lorient, Paris FC, and Metz are the three clubs coming up this season after getting promoted from Ligue 2. All eyes will be on Paris FC, who return to France's top flight after a gap of 46 years. These newly promoted teams replaced Montpellier, Saint-Etienne, and Reims.
