With another blockbuster La Liga upon us, top Spanish clubs are itching to exhibit their talent this season. Real Oviedo are back in the top flight for the first time in 24 years; they will join the other two promoted teams, Levante and Elche, in the competition. They replaced the three relegated teams, Valladolid, Las Palmas, and Leganes.

Barcelona outshone the rest of the teams to earn their 28th La Liga title last season under the leadership of Hansi Flick.
The most successful team in the tournament's history, Real Madrid ended their last season on a heartbreaking note.
