The End of an Era! Sky Sports to debut new theme tune for football coverage image

It's officially the end of an era. Sky Sports will no longer use Celeste's "Stop This Flame" as their title track for Premier League 2025/26 season coverage.

When coverage begins on August 15, with Liverpool's opening fixture against Bournemouth, Sky Sports will debut a reworked version Kasabian's "G.O.A.T" track featuring Cristale.

This is not the first time a Kasabian track has been used by the broadcaster - their hit "Club Foot" was the theme for the 2009/10 season.

The new track comes as Sky Sports enter a landmark deal with Premier League, where the broadcaster will show a minimum of 215 games this season.

To all the fans who truly loved singing "Stop This Flame" as the start and end of the programming, or between ad-breaks - we mourn your loss.
