Paris Saint-Germain have joined Premier League giants in pursuit of Christopher Nkunku. The 27-year-old French forward who joined Chelsea in 2023 has failed to live up to the expectations at Stamford Bridge and could be way out.
The Frenchman was signed for £52m [$69m]from RB Leipzig and arrived with high expectations.
But injuries and competition for places have held him back, and he has managed just 9 Premier League starts, scoring three goals across 27 matches.
For a player once regarded among Europe’s most dangerous attackers, the numbers are frustrating.
Now, as reported by RMC Sport, Nkunku has reached a “point of no return” at Stamford Bridge. If Chelsea fail to secure Champions League football, and if Nkunku continues to see limited minutes, a summer departure could be unavoidable.

PSG, Nkunku’s former club, explored a swoop in January but backed away, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

But with the Parisian club reshaping their attack, a second approach can’t be ruled out.
Bayern Munich also looked into a mid-season move but passed. However, Sport Bild’s Christian Falk suggests the German champions could return, particularly if Leroy Sane departs.
Liverpool have joined the chase. Foot Mercato reports that early talks have taken place, with Arne Slot’s side seeing Nkunku’s versatility as an asset.
The forward, who can play across the front line, fits Liverpool’s profile for dynamic, multi-positional attackers.
According to The Sun, at least six clubs—Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, PSG, and Atletico Madrid— are now monitoring Nkunku’s future.
PSG has another forward lined up
If PSG fail to land Christopher Nkunku, they’ve already lined up another option in Dušan Vlahovic.
The 25-year-old Serbian striker is firmly on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar, with reports from Gazzetta dello Sport and CaughtOffside confirming the club’s growing pursuit.
Vlahovic, who joined Juventus for £66m [$88m]in January 2022, could now be available for a cut-price fee between £20-35m [$26-46m] as he approaches the final year of his contract.
Despite inconsistent form, his raw power, left foot, and goal threat make him an ideal player for PSG.
