Barcelona’sGavi has shot down talk of a blockbuster move to PSG, saying that he is committed to staying with the Catalan giants for the long haul.
“Yes, yes, it could be possible,” Gavi admitted to Mundo Deportivo while referencing to PSG's interest.
“And I understand people who might believe it. But it’s not going to happen. I’m very calm.”
The 20-year-old midfielder has been linked repeatedly with a reunion with former Spain coach Luis Enrique, now at PSG.
Enrique handed Gavi his Spain debut in 2021 and has remained one of his strongest admirers ever since, with reports even suggesting that PSG, who are fresh from their first UEFA Champions League title want to stage a coach-player reunion.
Hence, the Parisian giants reportedly placed the La Masia graduate at the very top of their summer wishlist.

But Gavi, who signed a contract extension in early 2025, which will keep him at Camp Nou until 2030, has firmly rejected the move.
“My dream and my mentality is to spend my entire career at Barça. It’s the club of my life and where I want to succeed,” he said.
“I don’t want any other, and I’ll give everything I have to make it happen.”

Midfielder has endured tough season
Despite a tough season, which was marked by a return from injury and reduced minutes under coach Hansi Flick, Gavi has made his stance clear.
While Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Dani Olmo have seen more action, the young Spaniard remains undeterred by it.
