England's magnificent Lionesses are bringing the Euro 2025 trophy home, and thousands of jubilant fans are expected to descend on central London today to celebrate their incredible achievement.

If you're planning to join the party for Sarina Wiegman's squad, here's everything you need to know.

Parade route and key timings

The Lionesses' homecoming celebration kicks off at 12:10 PM BST today, Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

  • 12:10 PM: The open-top bus procession will begin its journey along The Mall, allowing supporters to cheer on the team as they parade with the coveted silverware. Expect an electrifying atmosphere as the champions make their way towards Buckingham Palace.

  • 12:30 PM (approx.): The bus will culminate at the Queen Victoria Memorial, directly in front of Buckingham Palace. Here, a staged ceremony will commence, hosted by former Lioness and celebrated football pundit Alex Scott.

  • 1:00 PM (approx.): The homecoming celebration is expected to conclude.

The ceremony will feature performances by the Royal Marines Portsmouth band and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, with highlights from the exhilarating tournament shown on big screens.

Manager Sarina Wiegman will then lead her triumphant team onto the stage for a special trophy lift.

The event is free to attend.

Today's weather forecast for the parade

Attendees should prepare for a partly cloudy day with warm temperatures.

While the morning started off cloudy, the afternoon is expected to see a mix of sunny spells and patchy cloud.

Temperatures will reach highs of around 21-22°C during the parade hours.

There is a slight risk of a scattered shower, particularly around midday, but the latest forecasts suggest the chance of significant rain during the parade itself has diminished.

Winds will be light, coming from the west.

It's always wise to be prepared for typical British summer weather, which can change quickly.

Attending in person: Important advice

The Football Association (FA) has warned that central London is expected to be "very busy." If you plan to attend, please be prepared:

  • Plan your journey: Use Transport for London (TfL) and National Rail Enquiries websites to plan your travel. Road closures will be in place around St James's Park between 7 AM and 6 PM today, so public transport is highly recommended as there is no dedicated parking for the event

  • Tube stations for access to The Mall: Use stations like Green Park (Jubilee and Victoria lines for step-free access), Piccadilly Circus, Victoria (Underground & National Rail, also step-free), Westminster (also step-free), and Charing Cross (Underground & National Rail). Check for real-time updates on TfL Go app or National Rail Enquiries on X/Twitter as there may be short-notice changes due to crowds. Signage and stewards will direct attendees away from station exits.

  • Arrive early: To secure a good viewing spot, arriving well in advance of the 12:10 PM start time is advisable.

  • Items not to bring: Do not bring items such as smoke flares, fireworks, tents, chairs, or BBQs.

  • Safety: Please keep young children in physical contact and stay with your group to avoid being separated. Report any unattended property to stewards or police.

  • Accessibility: An accessible viewing area will be located by Buckingham Palace at the end of The Mall, in St. James's Park. Pre-booking a space for yourself and one carer is available by emailing [email protected]. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted. Mainstage BSL interpreters and accessible toilets will be available.

  • Leaving the event: Be aware that roads used during the event may be live with traffic by the time you leave. Use appropriate pathways and crossing points, and check travel information for your onward journey. Please leave quietly to avoid disturbing local residents.

After their Downing Street reception yesterday, today's parade is the public's chance to salute their European champions.

The atmosphere promises to be electric as England celebrates another monumental achievement in women's football.
