Cristiano Ronaldo might be lining up more than just free kicks next season — he could be lining up boardroom deals too.

In a surprising twist to the summer transfer market, the Portuguese icon has reportedly been offered a part-ownership stake in English Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The offer apparently comes from John Textor, the American businessman and owner of Botafogo, who wants to bring Ronaldo to Brazil for the upcoming Club World Cup.

Ronaldo, who recently hinted that his time at Al-Nassr may be over, is now the hottest free agent in football once again. And this time, it's not just his on-pitch skills attracting interest — it’s his global influence.

Textor, who also owns stakes in Lyon, Molenbeek, and FC Florida through his Eagle Football group, has made a bold play.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola (via R7), the offer includes shares in Eagle Football and a significant slice of Crystal Palace. If accepted, the deal could see Ronaldo in a Botafogo shirt for the Club World Cup.

The timing of this offer is interesting. Ronaldo’s current deal with Al-Nassr ends on June 30, and he recently posted on social media: “This chapter is over. The story? It is still being written. Thank you all.”

Football fans know that when CR7 starts writing new chapters, it’s usually blockbuster material.

But Textor isn’t the only one circling. Al Hilal, Al Nassr’s wealthy Saudi rivals and World Cup participants themselves, are also in the picture.

They offer Champions League-style glamour — and likely another hefty paycheck.

Ronaldo is currently preparing for Portugal’s Nations League semi-final clash with Germany on June 4, with a potential final against France or Spain.

But soon after, he’ll have to make a decision that could shape his legacy beyond the pitch. Because let’s face it — when you’re Cristiano Ronaldo, even retirement rumors need a transfer window.
