Aston Villa will aim to jump into the top five heading into the final week of the Premier League season when they host Europa League finalists Tottenham.

Unai Emery's men are sixth, level on points with Chelsea, and victory on Friday would move them above fourth-placed Manchester City, who face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup this weekend.

Tottenham could prove to be agreeable opponents, with Ange Postecoglou expected to heavily rotate his lineup.

Spurs are languishing 17th in the table, with their Premier League season long since a write-off. However, they face Manchester United in the Europa League final next Wednesday.

Marcus Rashford misses out once again for Aston Villa with a hamstring injury. Add in Jacob Ramsey's suspension following his red card against Bournemouth, and it means Unai Emery has a decision to make on the left-hand side of his attack.

John McGinn fills the berth vacated by Ramsey and Rashford, with Marco Asensio starting alongside Morgan Rogers and behind Ollie Watkins.

Playmaker Youri Tielemans has been in superb form recently but faced a late fitness test due to a muscle problem of his own, and misses out.

Injured: Rashford (hamstring), Tielemans (muscle).

James MaddisonLucas Bergvall and Radu Dragusin are all out until next season.

Tottenham predicted lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Vicario (GK) — Spence, Danso, Davies, Gray — Bissouma, Sarr — Odobert, Moore, Tel — Richarlison
