New Man United star seals 'No.10 dream' as Marcus Rashford nears exit image

Ruben Amorim's Manchester United team will have a fresh look next season.

The Portuguese coach is planning major changes within his Red Devils ranks with a host of sales planned as he looks to reduce his sky-high wage salary bill.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho have all been told they can leave - if suitable offers arrive at Old Trafford in the coming weeks - with the quartet also granted extended summer breaks to finalise potential departures.

Matheus Cunha is the big-name arrival after Amorim secured a £62.5m deal to sign the Brazil international from Wolves at the start of the summer.

The former Atletico Madrid attacker registered 17 goals last season, the highest single-campaign tally of his career, and he's indicated the step up is a major target.

Amorim's decision to bring in Cunha is a further indication of his desire to offload Rashford and the outcasted striker has now received another nudge towards the Old Trafford exit door.

United have confirmed Cunha will take over Rashford's No.10 shirt next season and the new incumbent is ready for the challenge ahead.

"It's something you always dream about [wearing the No. 10]," Cunha told Man United's club website.

"I can mention many players that use this shirt. It's so easy for me. The one I always think about when I see this number in this shirt is Wayne Rooney. He was someone I grew up watching and I've [watched] many games now.

"Then I swapped shirts with Marcus [Rashford, after a game]. I have his shirt in my home. But, of course, we know many players have used this shirt - [Ruud] van Nistelrooy, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic.

"It's a dream not only to use the shirt, but with all the history around the number, it's something beautiful that I have the privilege to do."

Rashford's next step remains unclear at this stage, with Barcelona open to an offer, but the Catalans would prefer a long agreement despite United's desire to sell the England international.
