Liverpool are set to have a new-look defence at the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Arne Slot's quartet of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, captain Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson played a vital part in their top-flight title win.
However, as the Dutch coach aims to defend the trophy in 2026, he could be left with just one member of his favoured backline.
Alexander-Arnold has already completed a switch to Real Madrid - after opting against a contract extension on Merseyside - with Jeremie Frimpong joining from Bayer Leverkusen as his replacement.
There a major doubts over Robertson's continuation - with Atletico Madrid tracking the Scotland star - and Slot closing in on a deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
Van Dijk remains as the mainstay, after signing a renewal until 2027, but Konate could be the next defender heading for the Anfield exit door.

Konate and his representatives have been locked in talks since the start of 2025 but the latest update from The Guardian claims he is ready to walk away from the negotiating table.
Ibahima Konate's Liverpool contract, transfer value, exit options
Konate has excelled as Van Dijk's central partner, following the departure of Joel Matip, but the France international now faces a huge call on his future.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in June 2026 and Liverpool will fight to secure a fee if he rejects a renewal as Marc Guehi emerges as a replacement option.
The club hierarchy are motivated to avoid a similar situation to the one which forced them backwards in extension talks with Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah and eventually allowed Alexander-Arnold to leave for a low price.
Initial talks were delayed to focus on Van Dijk and Salah, before being revved up again in April, but Konate is rumoured to be 'disappointed' with Liverpool's latest offer.

The issue relates to the salary structure, with his camp believed to be aiming for a higher basic wage, as the offer is heavily based on meeting certain performance-related targets.
Real Madrid have previously been linked with the former RB Leipzig star, but following the signing of Dean Huijsen and Raul Asencio's contract extension, PSG could be a more viable option.
Luis Enrique is seeking a future successor to Marquinhos and Liverpool could start the bidding at around £50m.
