David Moyes is looking to overhaul his Everton squad this summer as the Toffees land in their new home at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Bramley Moore Dock.

Everton severed their 133-year connection with Goodison Park back in May as fans bid an emotional farewell to one of English football's most iconic stadiums.

Moyes' return to Merseyside in January steadied the team, and steered them away them relegation, and he wants to build on that in the 2025/26 campaign.

Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and veteran defender Ashley Young have both moved on, following the expiration of their contracts, and Moyes has already activated the option to make Carlos Alcaraz's loan from Flamengo a permanent deal.

Thierno Barry is an exciting upgrade on Calvert-Lewin and Republic of Ireland international Mark Travers has come in as back up to Jordan Pickford.

However, Moyes is still looking to bolster other positions, with full-back a key area of focus heading into the new season.

Club captain Seamus Coleman has signed another contract extension - and will play a valuable role in the transition period - but Jake O'Brien and Nathan Patterson will share the right-back role once again.

With Jarrad Branthwaite not expected to move on, Moyes' centre-back options look covered, with O'Brien able to move inside as needed.

Left-back is a greater priority, with Young gone and Vitaliy Mykolenko not full convincing, and Moyes reportedly lined up two bold targets to challenge the Ukrainian.

Everton target left back duo at Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid

Despite not having the lure of European football at their new home, Everton can still offer regular Premier League action, and Atletico Madrid defender Samuel Lino is a rumoured target for Moyes.

Diego Simeone is clearing the decks in the Spanish capital - and he is particularly unhappy with his left-backs - with Reinildo Mandava already joining newly-promoted Sunderland.

Lino split the position with Javi Galan in 2024/25, but the signing of Matteo Ruggeri is a clear indication of who is first choice in 2025/26, and reports from Diario AS claim Everton have already reached out over a deal.

Lino's contract runs until 2027 in Madrid, with a transfer value of around £20m, so Everton will keep their options open.

Former graduate of the famed Barcelona La Masia academy Adam Aznou is also on Moyes' radar, - as per The Athletic - after failing to break in at Bayern Munich since his 2022 move from Catalonia.

The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan back in La Liga at Real Valladolid - before they were relegated - and Vincent Kompany has no place for him currently.

The Morocco international is valued at £5m - on a contract until 2027 - but his top level experience is much lower than Lino's.
