There’s a feel-good factor around Chelsea at the moment after the Blues qualified for next season’s UEFA Champions League and also won the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday (May 28) night.

One of the players who helped Chelsea clinch the UEFA Conference League title is Nicolas Jackson, who scored the third goal for Chelsea on the night but has also had a mixed season for the club.

Though the Senegalese international has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in all competitions, he has also had dry spells in front of goal and disciplinary issues.

Jackson’s performances this season have divided opinion among the fan base, and by the looks of it, fans are not the only ones who are in two minds about the striker.

Former Chelsea defender and World Cup winner with France, Frank Leboeuf, has delivered an interesting verdict on Nicolas Jackson after he helped Chelsea win the Conference League this week.

The 23-year-old striker scored an important goal on his return and ran Betis ragged at times. However, like most of his displays, there was an element of rawness to his game with a mixture of the good and the bad.

What Frank Leboeuf had to say about Nicolas Jackson

According to Leboeuf, Jackson still has a question mark against his name because he’s very unpredictable.

The former Blues defender told ESPN: “I don’t know what to think about Jackson. I mean, Jackson is a question mark. He’s an enigma.

“He runs a lot. He can do crazy things. The guy wants to make a header; he scored with his chest. I don’t know what he does, but he scores goals. He sacrifices himself for the team. His easy stuff becomes very difficult. Difficult things become sometimes easy. That guy is an enigma.”
