Barcelona kicked of their 2025/26 La Liga season with a routine 3-0 win on the road at Mallorca.

With a return date to the Camp Nou pencilled in for mid-September, Hansi Flick's side are playing their first three games of the campaign away from home, starting with their trip to Palma.

The hosts offered a major helping via two first-half red cards after goals from Raphinha and Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal curled home a superb third in final seconds.

The club secured Marcus Rashford's La Liga registration just before kickoff in Palma but Flick opted against starting the England international.

Torres got the nod, with Robert Lewandowski missing due to a muscle injury, and Rashford was given a 20-minute cameo off the bench.

Flick admitted it was difficult for Rashford to make an impact against Mallorca's low defensive block and his starting chances against Levante on August 23 are reduced.

As per reports from Diario AS, Lewandowski's recovery is ahead of schedule and he will be fit for the trip to Levante, and the Poland international is a guaranteed starter.

The original schedule for his comeback was set at the end of August, to allow him to return in time to join up with the Poland squad for their two qualifiers next month, but he wants match action before that.

Flick views Rashford's best position as centrally, but he will not get in front of Lewandowski, and that will limit the Manchester United loanee's impact to a bench spot.
