Hansi Flick has turned things around for Barcelona as part of a superb first season in charge of the Catalan giants.

Barcelona are just two points away from claiming the La Liga title this month, and Flick has already bagged the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana trophies.

The sole negative point against his first year in Catalonia focuses on Europe after a semifinal elimination in the  UEFA Champions League.

Alongside their impressive successive in domestic competitions, Barcelona have also won all three of their El Clasico clashes with Real Madrid, as a major boost to the La Blaugrana faithful.

As part of an eye-catching first campaign at Barcelona, Flick has now matched a record previously held by iconic former manager Pep Guardiola, who led the team to major success from 2008 to 2012.

Which Pep Guardiola Barcelona record did Hansi Flick match?

The delirious Barcelona fans celebrated their latest win over Los Blancos on May 11, as four first-half goals sealed a 4-3 victory against Carlo Ancelotti's team, to give Flick a record of four wins from four.

Two of those El Clasicos were in La Liga, as the other two came via the Supercopa de Espana final in January, and the Copa del Rey final in April.

Given the ferocity of the El Clasico rivalry, all four victories add to Flick's credibility, plus the bonus of two of them sealing a trophy.

Four in a row means vs. Real Madrid now means Flick has matched Guardiola's record of winning all matches against Real Madrid in his first term in charge. The Catalan manager won all five of his first El Clasicos from 2008 to 2010.

While this season appears to be ending on a great note for Barcelona, it remains to be seen if Flick is able to surpass Guardiola's overall win record against Real Madrid. The German manager's current contract at Camp Nou is valid until the summer of 2026.
