Barcelona have work to do in their attempts to register a host of new players for their La Liga opener away at Mallorca on August 16.
A calm summer for Hansi Flick has erupted into controversy in recent weeks amid a club row with captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen over his recovery from back surgery.
Barcelona had hoped to use La Liga's infamous 'salary space' rule to register new signing Joan Garcia but a frustrated Ter Stegen threw up an instant roadblock to their plans.
The Germany international initially refused to allow his medical reports to be sent to La Liga, with the club reacting by stripping him of the captaincy, after he indicated an expected absence of three months.
Ter Stegen has since relented - with the captaincy reinstated - but his long-term future in Catalonia looks very uncertain at this stage.
As per the latest update from Marca, La Liga have now ratified the report on Ter Stegen, and released the necessary salary space to register Garcia in time for the clash with Mallorca.

However, there is no confirmation of exactly what percentage of Ter Stegen's salary space can be used, with a five-month lay-off triggering an 80%.
Can Barcelona register Marcus Rashford with La Liga?
That is just one step in a positive direction, as the resolution of Ter Stegen's stand-off only activates the green light for Garcia, with fellow new signing Marcus Rashford still not registered.
Barcelona are still outside La Liga's 1:1 transfer rule, where all transfer fees and player contracts are balanced against incoming revenue, including sales and sponsorship agreements.
The club are still waiting for their new VIP boxes at the Estadi Camp Nou to be included in a financial audit which allows them to instantly register Rashford and other delisted players.

Barcelona were unable to add the boxes to previous reports as they were only fully completed and sold until May and their 1:1 target was missed.
If the report does not land before the September 1 transfer deadline - Rashford and others will miss the first three games of the season - but club president Joan Laporta has an emergency plan in place.
Following the latest club board meeting, Laporta secured a guarantee from members to provide €7m toward the registration of the remaining players.
That is being treated as a back-up option for now, with Barcelona still hoping to secure registrations via box sales, but Rashford's place against Mallorca looks unlikely.
