Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is expected to keep on spending in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners chief is determined to overhaul Liverpool in the Premier League title race in 2025/26 after three successive second-place finishes in behind Arrne Slot's defending champions and Manchester City.
Arteta has spent an estimated £187m on new faces with major moves to bring in Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres from Real Sociedad, Chelsea and Sporting CP respectively.
The latter is Arteta's most recent arrival with the Swedish international detailed to solve Arsenal's 'striker crisis' after two sensational seasons in Lisbon.
However, more movement is on the agenda at the Emirates Stadium, with Arteta still reportedly chasing down Crystal Palace talisman Eberechi Eze.
Eze is rumoured to be open to leaving Selhurst Park in the weeks ahead, as he wants to test himself in the UEFA Champions League, but Arsenal's current offer falls well short of Palace's demands.

Eberechi Eze's Crystal Palace contract, transfer value
Eze's current deal with Palace runs until 2027 but with a £69m release clause currently in place on the England international.
The 26-year-old could be lured away from the Eagles, if an interested club meets that figure, after the clause was reactivated at the start of July.

Despite previous links to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, the Bavarians have since moved on to other targets, with Vincent Kompnay now landing a deal to bring in Luis Diaz from Liverpool.
Arsenal are the front runners in the race for Eze, but based on the amount of money already spent by Arteta this summer, the Spanish coach will be given a limited budget to pursue him.

As per reports from The Athletic, Arsenal are looking to offer a '50-50' package to Palace, with £30m paid up front, and the remaining £39m split across a prospective two or three-year contract for Eze.
Palace have reportedly rejected that, as the club view Eze as a key asset, and the message is the full clause must be paid outright to trigger an exit from the FA Cup holders.
Despite the boldness of their offer, Arsenal are prepared to walk away if it's not accepted, as the club will not finance an outright payment on the back of Arteta's already lavish spending spree.
