Arsenal are pushing ahead with several transfer deals as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his squad.

The Gunners are looking to complete deals across multiple positions in the coming weeks but Arteta is planning to wait until July 1 to keep in line with Premier League Profit & Sustainability Rules.

Real Sociedad playmaker Martin Zubimendi is on the verge of joining following months of talks with the Spain international over his £51m release clause.

The arrival of Zubimendi comes as two midfielders move on from Arsenal with veteran star Jorginho moving to Flamengo on a free transfer.

However, the departure of Jorginho is not the only member of Arteta's engine room looking for a new challenge, with Thomas Partey confirming he will leave next month.

The Ghanaian is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of June, and despite Arteta's efforts to retain him on a one-year deal, the former Atletico Madrid star is on the move again.

Zubimendi will add a new dimension to Arteta's midfield but there is still a vacant space following Partey's news.

As per reports from the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are considering a shock offer for Brentford captain Christian Norgaard, despite the Danish star signing an extension at the start of the year.

His current Bees deal runs until the end of the 2026/27 season, but following the exit of long-serving Brentford boss Thomas Frank, a host of stars are reportedly considering their futures.

The 31-year-old developed into Frank's Mr Consistency at Brentford and four years of top-flight experience would offer Arteta another calm head in his ranks.

Norgaard's current transfer value sits at around £12m and his 2024/25 stats indicate a solid performer that flies under the radar.

He finished joint fourth for dribblers tackled by midfield players last season with 48 and joint second for midfielder interceptions on 49.
