The 2025 World Matchplay of darts is just over a week away.
It's regarded as the second biggest title a player can win, outside of the World Championship.
Wednesday's Players Championship 21 event was the final event before the cutoff for qualification chances, so we now know which 32 players will be heading to Blackpool in a couple of weeks.

Who qualified for the 2025 World Matchplay?
16 players qualify through the Main OoM and 16 qualify through the ProTour OoM.

Half of this list is made up of the 2025 Premier League of Darts participants.
There are also names like Damon Heta and Jonny Clayton who have won events recently and have had great years so far.
James Wade was a semifinalist in the 2024 edition of the tournament and was a finalist in the UK Open earlier this year. He also won Players Championship 19 this year.
Chisnall hasn't had many standout performances on the European Tour or in TV tournaments since early 2024, but he has solid prize money to back up his spot in the top 16.

Gary Anderson will return, looking to make his first quarterfinal appearance at the World Matchplay since 2020.
Ross Smith qualified and is seeking his best result at a TV-ranked event. He was a quarterfinalist at the Matchplay last year and is a former semifinalist at the Players Championship Finals.
Peter Wright had a stretch from 2015 to 2022 where he was a quarterfinalist or better seven times at the World Matchplay, but will come into this year looking to make the quarterfinals at the World Matchplay for the first time since 2022.
Danny Noppert grabbed the last available spot on the Main OoM.

What 16 players qualified through the ProTour Oom?
We just went over the 16 players who qualified via the Main OoM, but now let's see which 16 players qualified through the ProTour OoM (Based on European Tour events + Players Championship events in the last 12 months).

Four of the PDC up-and-comers, including Martin Schindler, Josh Rock, Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman, all qualified for the World Matchplay.
Any of these players can make a potential run in this tournament, as they've shown recently that they can compete with the best, which is reflected in their high placement on the ProTour OoM.
Cameron Menzies has qualified for the World Matchplay for the first time in his career, after picking up some great finishes in Players Championship events this year.
Ryan Searle has yet to have any major runs in TV tournaments in his career (outside of 2021 Players Championship Final), but has put together some nice campaigns in events in the last 12 months.
Mike De Decker will be making his second World Matchplay appearance, and has picked up a major TV title since the last time the World Matchplay took place (2024 World Grand Prix winner).

A Dutch pair makes up the next couple of qualifiers, with Dirk van Duijvenbode (4th appearance) and Jermaine Wattimena (5th appearance) heading to Blackpool.
Andrew Gilding will look to back up his quarterfinal run from last year as he will compete in the event for the 6th time.
Daryl Gurney is fresh off a big World Cup win with Josh Rock and will look to use that as a spark next week.
Joe Cullen has been struggling quite a bit recently, but will have a chance to play on the big stage for the 10th time in his career.
Ricardo Pietreczko will return to Blackpool after making his debut in 2024.
Luke Woodhouse, Raymond van Barneveld and Ryan Joyce cap off the list as the last three players to make it, holding off threats posed by players trying to qualify through performances in this week's Players Championship events.
