While Gerwyn Price was busy claiming the 2025 Superbet Poland Masters title despite arriving in Gliwice completely luggage-less, two other PDC affiliated tour events were taking place thousands of miles apart. Such is the pace of modern Professional Darts Council affiliated activities.

The Polish leg of the World Series has proven a huge success but it’s a testament to the sheer resilience of the decorated Welshman that not even the absence of clothing or equipment could derail the Markham marksman.

That’s World Series tour title number four for Price – and he’s no stranger to the business end of globe-trotting glory, with standout wins in Salzburg and Amsterdam in 2020 and 2022 respectively.

After sourcing some darts and getting himself dressed for the occasion (presumably not in lost property), the former World Champion bulldozed past Chris Dobey, comfortably saw off  Rob Cross in the semis, and banged in a cheeky 103.12 average in a dramatic 8–7 final victory over Stephen Bunting.

Not bad, considering the weekend started with Luggagegate. Maybe Price should consider sending his suitcase to a completely different location every time – then just rock up and use whatever’s lying around in the venue. Stranger strategies have worked.

Nordic & Baltic Tour

Sweden took centre stage at the penultimate weekend of the 2025 Nordic & Baltic Tour in Slangerup – a Danish town with Viking roots and just enough dartboards to make it a hotspot. Daniel Larsson and Andreas Dirty Harry Harrysson claimed the honours in two all-Swedish finals.

Larsson edged Edwin Torbjornsson in a last-leg thriller to bag his first title since 2023. It keeps his faint World Championship hopes flickering – though he’ll need to double up in Oslo to leapfrog Oskar Lukasiak and secure a spot at Ally Pally.

The silver lining? Larsson’s win lifts him into the top eight, earning free Q-School entry – although his airline of choice will doubtfully be as charitable. Harrysson’s third title of the year confirmed his Ally Pally place - although he was pretty safe anyway - squeezing past Lukasiak in another nail-biter. Oskar’s runner-up finish likely secures his own ticket too, though he’s not booking accommodation just yet.

Elsewhere, Johan Engström produced a ton-plus average to win the Flanders Euro qualifier, beating Harrysson. Finally, someone not Swedish – Darius Labanauskas – claimed the Czech Open spot, toppling Jonas Masalin.

Asian Tour

In Asia, Alexis Toylo broke his title drought in true London bus fashion – nothing since January, then two at once in Singapore. Cool Cat beat John Marco Lumilang and Christian Perez, but was denied a hat-trick by Japan’s Motomu Sakai.

Still, Toylo’s back in the mix and purring. Paolo Nebrida also joined the party, defeating the ageless Paul Lim 5-4. At this rate, Lim may outlive his darts career and still be throwing nine-darters in a nursing home.

With just one Asian Tour weekend left (early August, Manila), the Filipino contingent will be licking their lips at a home finale. Lourence Ilagan leads the Order of Merit by just under $1,000, but Toylo’s resurgence has turned up the heat. With $2,000 per title still on offer, it’s all to play for – and Cool Cat could still get the cream.
