The U.S. Darts Masters round of 16 last night was an amazing start to a weekend full of darts action in New York.
Before Saturday night's session for the U.S. Darts Masters, there was an exciting slate of games on Saturday afternoon during the 2025 North American Darts Championship.
The Sporting News was there to report it live from The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Matt Campbell started the afternoon off with a dominant win over Jason Brandon, averaging 103.98.
Stowe Buntz picked up a lopsided 6-0 win over Jules van Dongen and played against Matt Campbell in the first semifinal.
Danny Lauby gets a comfortable 6-1 win over Leonard Gates in the third quarterfinal of the afternoon.
Jim Long ended the quarterfinal round with an exciting win over Adam Sevada. Canada and the United States both had two representatives in the semifinal round.
Matt Campbell picked up another win, advancing him to the North American Darts Championship Final. He is the reigning champion of the tournament.
Both of Canada's representatives in the tournament have advanced to the final, as World Cup partners Matt Campbell and Jim Long will face off for the title.
Despite an average that wasn't anything spectacular, Campbell was able to defeat Jim Long to win the 2025 title.
