A refreshed Garcia believes he will steal the show on a stacked fight card featuring Haney and Teofimo Lopez.

"I’m gonna take control of the fight right away. I have to control the ring," Garcia said. "He’s not a better boxer than me, but he’s gonna try to do things to make me uncomfortable. Ring generalship is my best friend when I step into the ring."
A former WBA super lightweight champion, Romero (16-2) is 2-2 in his last four fights. "Rolly" competes in his first headliner since earning a controversial win against Ismael Barroso in 2023. The 29-year-old has won 13 fights via knockout.
Whatever happened when they sparred is in the past, per Romero. He is ready to focus on the now and make a name for himself in New York City.
"We’re both tired of watching that. We’re two evolved new fighters. It doesn’t matter in the ring on Friday," Romero said.
