A multi-time gold medalist as an amateur, Itauma (12-0) already boasts ten knockouts in his professional career. The 20-year-old has been fast-tracked toward title contention early on.

The fight against Whyte (31-3) is Itauma’s first test against legitimate competition. He’s ready to make the most of the opportunity in front of him.

A former kickboxer, Whyte (31-3) has held the British and interim heavyweight titles. Getting knocked out against Tyson Fury in 2022 after waiting to challenge for gold, the 37-year-old has since won three straight. He won two contests in 2024 after not competing in 2023.

"The Body Snatcher" has waited for a fight that could bring him back to being a contender. A win against a fighter in Itauma, considered the next "chosen one," may be what he’s looking for.

"I think Moses Itauma, no one wants to fight him. My whole career has been, I've always taken the fights that no one wanted to take and nothing's changed now. It's an opportunity, it's a great opportunity. Win this fight, I'm right back like I never left," Whyte said via Sky Sports.
