  • Start time: 7 p.m. BST
  • Main event start time (approx.): 10:30 p.m. BST
  • Location: Portman Road - Ipswich, UK

Fabio Wardley vs. Justis Huni is on June 7. The main card starts at 7 p.m. local time. Wardley and Huni should make their way to the ring around 10:30 p.m. BST, depending on how long the undercard fights last.

The Ipswich-born Wardley (18-0-1) is a former English heavyweight champion who also won British gold. After beating David Adeleye, he went 1-0-1 against Frazer Clarke. His stock has never been higher following a first-round knockout of Clarke in October.

Ranked number one in the WBA's rankings, Wardley can reach the top of the division with a win. First, he must get past a game Huni (12-0), who replaces Jarrell Miller.

A 2019 World Championships bronze medalist, Queensland's Huni fought Clarke at the amateur level. Following an impressive amateur career, the 26-year-old has seven wins via knockout as a pro.

Huni has competed longer in boxing than Wardley, putting on a pair of gloves around the age of eight. Usually, that would give him the edge. Wardley believes all that experience won't matter when the bell rings.

"We've seen what I've done with amateurs in the past — Olympics bronze medalists, Commonwealth Games medalists," Wardley said via Bad Left Hook. "I've always come up against them, and there's always been the very obvious play off of each other — 'Oh, he's white collar, he hasn't got that background, and this guy's a star-studded amateur. He's done all this — this, this, this this.'

"Maybe. Great. But we're not in the amateurs anymore. This isn't the amateur game, this is professional boxing, and I've been in the game longer than him. I've done more in the game than he has. I've been on these big stages, under the bright lights, under the pressure. It's a sink or swim moment, I think, for Justis."
