Haney (31-0) competes in the co-feature spot against former world champion Jose Carlos Ramirez (29-2). It is Haney’s first fight since the Garcia debacle. The former undisputed lightweight and WBC super lightweight champion hit a roadblock following that fight and looks to return to form in New York.

"In boxing, you have to prove yourself time in and time out, just like any other sport. LeBron has to prove himself again and again, and so do I," Haney said.
Ramirez is a former super lightweight champion who is 3-1 in his last four fights, losing against Arnold Barboza Jr. in his previous contest. The 32-year-old is ready to prove he can hang with the younger generation of fighters.
Speaking of Barboza (32-0), the interim WBO super lightweight champion takes on WBO and Ring champion Teofimo Lopez (20-1). Lopez is 5-0 since the former unified lightweight champion moved to 140. Barboza is ready to make a name for himself in front of the Brooklyn-born Lopez’s family and friends.
"Going to the U.K. and having 15,000 fans booing me and turning me on, everything has been building toward this. This is the toughest opponent of my career, but we’re looking to show up and make it look good," Barboza said.
