Inoue vs. Cardenas is available to watch in the U.K. via Sky Sports.
Inoue (29-0) is undisputed in two weight classes. “The Monster” returns to the U.S. for the first time since 2021. Cardenas (26-1) is on a 14-fight win streak and competes in his first world title fight.
The co-main event will see Rafael Espinoza put the WBO featherweight title on the line against Edward Vazquez. Espinoza (26-0) has defended the title twice since stunning Robeisy Ramirez to win gold. Proving it wasn’t a fluke, he beat Ramirez in December.
The champion wants to face the headliner in Inoue down the road. To do so, Espinoza looks to have everyone talking about him after the event.
"The only thing on my mind is Edward Vazquez and defeating him on May 4. But at the same time, I’d like to show the Japanese people that I’m also ready for Naoya Inoue," Espinoza said.
"That kind of fight would help me become one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. I’m going to steal the show on May 4 and give all the Mexicans in attendance a great night."
Vazquez (17-2) competes in his second world title fight after failing to capture super featherweight gold against Joe Cordina. He is on a two-fight win streak and, like Cardenas, looks for a massive upset.
