Fast-tracked toward title contention at 20, Itauma (12-0) could soon earn a shot at gold. An opportunity awaits if he beats Whyte (31-3), who is on a three-fight win streak.

The co-feature will see Nick Ball defend the WBA featherweight title against Sam Goodman.

Liverpool’s Ball (22-0-1) fought Rey Vargas to a draw for the WBC title. He followed that performance by beating Raymond Ford for the WBA belt. Ball has since successfully defended the belt twice via TKO.

Goodman (20-0) returns to action after failing to capture a fight against Naoya Inoue due to a cut he suffered while sparring. Winning his last fight in May, the Aussie looks for glory after getting another opportunity at gold.

Meanwhile, Ford (17-1-1), on a two-fight win streak, faces former title contender Abraham Nova (24-3-1). Nova, 1-1-1 in his last three fights, replaces Anthony Cacace.

Rounding out the event, former interim champion Filip Hrgovic (18-1) meets British champion David Adeleye (14-1), while Ring ambassador Hayato Tsutsumi (7-0) returns against Qais Ashfaq (13-3-1).
