Who will win the Wyndham Championship 2025? Golf betting picks, predictions and odds for FedExCup tournament image

As we turn the calendar to August this weekend, the race for the FedEx Cup Playoffs has started to really heat up, and temperatures at this week's Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina could reach 32 degrees Celsius. Which golfer will withstand the heat and emerge victorious in the final tournament of the 2025 PGA Tour season?

Many of the heavy hitters will be resting up this weekend. As the playoffs begin next weekend and most of this week's field need points to cement their spot, players like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy will be watching from home. The odds-on favourite to win at Sedgefield Country Club this weekend is Matt Fitzpatrick, and he's only 20/1. Translation: it's a wide-open race.

Other strong contenders to take down this final regular-season tournament include Ben Griffin (25/1), Keegan Bradley (25/1) and Aaron Rai (28/1). Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama and Robert MacIntyre (all 30/1) are the only other golfers sitting at shorter than 35/1 odds.

A fairly short par-70 designed by Donald Ross, Sedgefield CC measures a little over 7,100 yards. Its fairways are narrow and lined with trees, and its greens are smaller than your average PGA course.

There's plenty of rough and run-off areas, so driving accuracy, approach and scrambling could all come into play for the eventual victor. We will also look at par-4 scoring, as the course features a dozen par-4s, with eight of them measuring 400-450 yards.

Let's take a look at the complete pre-tournament odds board for the 2025 Wyndham Championship, then reveal our best bets, top value wagers and favourite long-shot pick to emerge victorious in Greensboro, courtesy of our betting expert Sloan Piva.

Wyndham Championship 2025 best bets to win

Odds correct at start of tournament, click links below to bet.

Robert MacIntyre (38/1, Betfair)

MacIntyre has five pro wins under his belt, so he seems like a solid outright pick at 38-1 (those odds might not last, either — he's as short as 30/1 on most of the American sportsbooks). The Scotsman hasn’t missed a cut since the Masters, and he finished solo second at the U.S. Open, T6 at the Charles Schwab and T7 at The Open Championship.

He has taken some time off since The Open, so look for Bobby Mac to be rested and focused. Detractors will point to him missing the cut at Sedgefield last year, but we still think he's a solid value play given his recent form and his strong driving accuracy, short game, approach play and par-4 scoring.

Si Woo Kim (38/1, Betfair)

Si Woo Kim has quite the track record at Sedgefield Country Club. From 2019 through 2021, his finishes at the Wyndham Championship were fifth, T3 and T2. What a run! Of course, his past few Wyndhams haven't been as fun (a withdrawal, a 33rd-place finish and a missed cut), but we still believe in the South Korean stud.

Kim ranks in the top 30 on the TOUR in driving accuracy and top 40 in strokes gained on approach. He's also in the top 20 in scrambling from the rough, and he's a birdie machine on par-4s when he gets off to a strong start. Both these players feel like amazing value plays in a relatively weak field.

Wyndham Championship 2025 top long-shot bet

Andrew Novak (70/1, AK Bets)

Novak has appeared as long as 82/1 on Betfair and he's currently 70/1 on AK Bets, so act fast if you want to lock in a strong lotto-ticket wager. The North Carolina native grew up about 90 minutes from Sedgefield Country Club, and he has three starts at the Wyndham under his belt, so you know he's ready for this weekend's challenge.

If Novak can keep most of his drives on the fairway, he's got a great shot to win this thing. He's a true ball-striker who has been sizzling with the putter of late, and we've seen remarkable consistency from him for the better part of the past four months. Consider an outright bet here, or take him 5/2 on Paddy Power to place in the top 20.

Wyndham Championship 2025 best bet to finish top 20

Pierceson Coody (12/5, Betfair)

Coody, a former Korn Ferry Tour standout, has relished his opportunity on the PGA Tour. Since finishing T25 at the Byron Nelson in May, he has really started to heat up. He was T16 at the Charles Schwab and just finished T3 at the 3M Open last weekend, showcasing the kind of all-around skill set that makes for fine careers on TOUR. Look for a strong finish from the 25-year-old Texas native.
