The Indian Premier League will return after just over a week of break in the middle of the 2025 season, due to the unstable situation in the region, as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru face the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 17.
In Match 58 of the season, which will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB can officially seal their qualification to the playoffs with a win, accumulating 18 points and with two matches to go.
On the other hand, the Knight Riders will need to win the match to have an outside chance in a season that has been underwhelming for them, considering their squad and that they were defending their title.
In their previous encounter in the season opener, RCB had gotten the better of KKR — check out what to expect this time around with our betting tips and expert predictions.

Who will win RCB vs. KKR? IPL 2025 predictions, odds and betting tips
RCB has been in an incredible form in the ongoing season of the IPL, especially their bowling, which has been their worry for a long time in the past.
KKR, meanwhile, have blown hot and cold and have struggled in the middle overs particularly. They will look at their captain, Rajit Patidar, once again to find some inspiration while RCB's whole team has been chipping in with some important contributions on and off.
Expect a high scoring match and the home side having an edge over KKR, considering the forms and familiarity to the venue.
Josh Hazlewood's absence could hurt the Royal Challengers. He has not returned after the enforced IPL break, however, they have some good depth with Lungi Ngidi and Rasikh Dar as their other bowling options.
