The 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championship is reaching a climax, with the remaining quarter-finalists making one big push to make the last four.

World champions Spain and hosts Switzerland are next up on Friday, with Montse Tome's side coming into this off the back of three victories from three in the group stages, while the Swiss rode the wave of home momentum to squeeze into the knockouts with a second-half stoppage-time equaliser against Finland in their final group game.

In theory, this one should be one-sided, but does the current betting tell the whole story? Let's take a look...

Spain started the tournament widely tipped as the favourites, benefitting not only from their world champion status but also having been put into the seemingly easier side of the draw.

Paddy Power rate them currently as 8/11 to win it all, while the Swiss are a huge longshot at 66/1; the biggest outsiders left in the competition.

Despite that apparent mis-match, there's still some value to be had on Friday's match.

Spain to win with a -2 Handicap (5/6, Sky Bet)

Spain haven’t quite been at their absolute fluent best in this tournament, and yet they romped to top spot in Group B and scored 14 goals in the process. A 5-0 hammering of Portugal and a 6-2 demolition of Belgium was backed up by a come-from-behind 3-1 defeat of Italy – all three of whom are sides that would fancy their chances of giving the Swiss a game. A heavy Spanish victory seems the likeliest end point for Switzerland's tournament and even at odds-on this price seems like one to take. One more point to note, these two teams have met three times recently, with Spain winning 5-1 in the World Cup Round of 16 and then 5-0 at home and 7-1 away in the Nations League.

Alexia Putellas over 1.5 shots on target (4/6, Betway)

If Spain are going to go and win this tournament and this quarter-final, then they have quite a few options to call upon in attack. However, perhaps the most consistent goal threat is Alexia Putellas, despite Esther Gonzalez currently being the tournament’s top scorer with four goals. Putellas has three of her own and is a big-game threat. With Spain expected to win this one at a canter, there's a strong chance that Putellas is a big part of that.
