The 2025 Saudi Arabia Masters is the latest stop on the snooker circuit, with the best players in the world all competing, as well as the top 16 amateur players from the Middle East.
World number one Judd Trump won the inaugural event in 2024, defeating Mark Williams 10-9 in a thrilling final, and the two will compete again this year.
The legendary record champion Ronnie O'Sullivan will also be in action, as will the likes of Mark Selby and John Higgins, world champion Zhao Xintong and Kyren Wilson, who is fresh off a win at the Shanghai Masters.

When is the 2025 Saudi Arabia Masters snoooker?
The 2025 tournament is the second of its kind, as Saudi Arabia becomes more and more involved with leading sports.
Since its addition, the event has been promoted by the WST as the sport's fourth major — alongside the World Snooker Championship, U.K. Championship and Masters, and unsurprisingly has massive prize money.
The tournament started on Friday, August 8 and runs until Saturday, August 16 — with the top 16 seeds getting a bye into the last 32, with 16 of the remaining 128 players joining them.
The competition runs on a knockout-style format before a two-session final, which is the best of 19 frames.
Which players are competing at the Saudi Arabia Masters snooker 2025?
A total of 144 players were invited to the event, including all professionals on the World Snooker Tour circuit, as well as 16 amateurs from Saudi and the Middle East.
World number 13 Xiao Guodong is not involved due to a fixture clash with the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China.

Saudi Arabia Masters 2025 snooker format
The format for the tournament is similar to the World Snooker Championship and U.K. Championship, with the top 16 ranked players receiving a bye to the round of 32, which is the fifth round of the tournament.
Players seeded 49-80 will automatically progress to the second round, while those seeded 17-48 will go straight to the third round.
The first three rounds see matches played over the best of seven frames, with the fourth and fifth rounds the best of nine.
The quarter and semi-finals will be the best of 11, while the final will be the best of 19, played over two sessions.
