Paris Saint-Germain vs. Stade de Reims expert betting tips, predictions, preview and odds for the Coupe de France final image

At Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Stade de Reims in the 2024/25 Coupe de France final with a lot on the line for both sides.

Luis Enrique, who won the treble with Barcelona in 2015, is looking to become the first coach of a French team to win the treble, as the Parisians prepare for their second-ever UEFA Champions League final against Inter at the Allianz Arena in Munich next weekend.

Reims, on the other hand, have endured a tough campaign, with Samba Diawara replacing Luka Elsner in late-February as they battled against relegation. Diawara’s first game was to defeat Angers in the quarter-finals of the cup, and they appeared to have massively turned a corner, moving clear of the danger zone after the March international break.

However, they slipped into the relegation play-off place on the final day of the season last weekend and this cup final actually falls in the middle of that decisive play-off against Metz.

PSG vs. Reims prediction, tips, bet builder and odds

PSG -2 Handicap (4/9, Betfair)

Paris Saint-Germain have been simply superb throughout the season, with Luis Enrique cultivating a slick and energetic side that works extremely well as a cohesive team — perhaps unlike PSG sides of the recent past.

As they march themselves towards the treble, they face a Reims side with their focus elsewhere. Even if Reims’ full attention was on the final, they would be heading into it on the back of a five-match winless run of form.

Giving them a two goal head start won't be enough, as PSG will come on strong to win the cup.

Under 3.5 total cards (4/6, AK Bets)

One thing that can help you add some value to your bet builder would be to back few cards in this game. Whilst Reims picked up the joint-most straight reds in Ligue 1 last season, they were only mid-table for yellow cards, whilst PSG didn’t have a single sending off all season and collected just 39 yellows.

PSG are unlikely to need to foul in transition and the desire to avoid injury ahead of the Champions League final should make it less of a frantic game than the usual cup final atmosphere — and the same can even be said for Reims, as their players seek to avoid unnecessary injury in order to be involved in the fight to preserve their top-flight status in midweek.

This is a game between two sides who may well approach it in a cautious manner physically, so going with a low cards count would represent a sensible choice.

PSG vs. Reims predicted score and most likely results

TSN Tip: PSG to win (1/8, betway)

Score prediction: PSG 4-0 Reims (13/2, Paddy Power)

PSG are a slick outfit nowadays but even before the evolution into a serious team that can blow most English teams away, they were always capable of demolishing the rest of France — coming so close to becoming the first French side to go unbeaten through a domestic campaign before back-to-back losses either side of that Champions League semi-final first-leg against Arsenal at the Emirates.

Reims’ boss Diawara urged his players to focus on survival as the priority when they reached the final of this competition back in early April, and they did seem all but assured of it at one point. Their priority will very much be on that second leg with Metz in a delicately poised, high-stakes affair at Stade Auguste-Delaune II in a few days’ time.

As a result, PSG — likely to name their strongest XI with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue fluidly interchanging at the top of solid defence and a brilliant midfield — should rack up a comfortable cup final victory this weekend.
