The 2025 UEFA Super Cup takes place at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, Friuli in Italy this week, with UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain taking on UEFA Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur.

PSG have experienced a very busy summer as they reached the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup before losing 3-0 to Chelsea, in a tournament in which they did appear to be majorly fatigued after winning both their first-ever European Cup and treble last season.

Spurs, on the other hand, won their first major trophy in well over a decade and a half in May as they defeated Manchester United to win the UEFA Europa League, but Ange Postecoglou was relieved of his duties to be replaced by Thomas Frank.

The Sporting News has you covered with the latest tips and odds as PSG take on Spurs to win what would be their fifth piece of silverware in 2025, whilst Spurs aim for their second in a few months after an 18 year drought.

UEFA Super Cup 2025: PSG vs. Tottenham prediction

PSG, as mentioned, did appear a bit fatigued and a lack of pre-season will not have helped, so siding with the draw would seem a good bet, as Spurs seek to batten down the hatches somewhat under the management of Frank. From here, it's anyone's in the shootout.

The draw is currently priced up at 19/5 with Sky Bet, with PSG heavy favourites at 2/5 and Tottenham all the way out at what has to be an attractive 11/2.

The Sporting News' Score Prediction: PSG 1-1 Tottenham

  • The draw is rated as a 20.8% implied chance between PSG and Tottenham by Sky Bet in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.

PSG vs. Tottenham team news

  • Paris Saint-Germain are without the suspended Joao Neves, with his red card in the FIFA Club World Cup final meaning his suspension carries through to this match.
  • Lucas Chevalier, who has just signed from Lille, is expected to make his competitive debut between the sticks after PSG left Gianluigi Donnaruma out of their squad.
  • Tottenham have a plethora of injury issues with a lot of change in attack as James Maddison deals with a potentially season-ending ACL injury, Dominic Solanke is a doubt and Son Heung-min has moved on to LAFC.
  • Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha could both make their debuts from the start, and it’ll be intriguing to see how Frank lines his side up, having deployed both the back three and the 4-2-3-1 during pre-season.

PSG vs. Tottenham Bet Builder tips

Our bet builder for this game is for both teams to score (4/7, Sky Bet) and for 3+ cards for each team in the game (17/2, SkyBet), which comes to total odds of 10.49/1 with Sky Bet.

PSG will be expected to get on the front foot right from the off, but defensively they can be susceptible and Spurs on the counter-attack with Frank’s high energy pressing game will fancy themselves to spring a surprise.

Frank’s high energy press does also rely on winning the ball back quickly and that can lead to persistent fouling, and with PSG having shown their hot-headed fallibility in the summer, it could be a feisty affair as ever under UEFA rulings and jurisdiction.
