One of the most heavily-anticipated Signature Events on the PGA Tour calendar, the Memorial Tournament returns to Muirfield Village this weekend. Rich with history and tradition, the Jack Nicklaus-designed course and tournament have enjoyed some serious star power in the winner's circle over the years.
The reigning champion, of course, is world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Viktor Hovland — who has been as high as OWGR No. 4 — won in 2023. Patrick Cantlay has two Memorial wins since 2019, and LIV studs Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau won before defecting. Tiger Woods has won five times.
Muirfield presents one of the toughest challenges of the season, so it's no surprise that its past winners are superstars of the sport. Players who can bomb the ball off the tee, approach the green efficiently and avoid three-putts will have a chance at eternal glory and a handshake from the Golden Bear himself.
It will be tough to beat the defending champ. Scheffler encapsulates all those skills so well, and he's easily the most polished golfer in the world under pressure. With no Rory McIlroy in this year's field, can Scheffler cruise to his second consecutive Memorial victory and his third win in four starts since May?
Let's have a look at the Memorial Tournament betting odds, then make our predictions. We'll detail the best bet, top value bet, and our favourite sleeper bet to win it all, then wrap things up with the best bet to finish in the top 20.

The Memorial Tournament 2025 best bet to win
Scottie Scheffler (14/5)
We may say it until we're blue in the face: Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer on the planet, and nobody handles difficult courses like the world No. 1. He cruised to a -9 victory at Muirfield last year, and we think he can win it all again in 2025.
Scheffler might not be as sizzling as he was during his miracle run last year, but his recent form has still been pretty darn fantastic. Just look at the guy's results since the end of March:
- Houston Open: T2
- Masters: 4
- RBC Heritage: T8
- Byron Nelson: 1
- PGA Championship: 1
- Charles Schwab: T4
We can't even dream of picking another best bet to outright win over Scheffler. He's the man to beat this weekend, and with his driver, short game and putter all working, it's very likely nobody will.

The Memorial Tournament 2025 best value bet
Viktor Hovland (30/1)
Hovland ranks eighth on TOUR in approach (SG:APP), and he's one of the better and more efficient drivers in the world when he's on.
The 27-year-old can also surprise with the putter when it's all clicking, so don't be shocked if Hovland makes some noise this weekend. He won the 2023 Memorial Tournament, so 28/1 feels like very strong value for bettors looking for a well-priced Scheffler alternative.

The Memorial Tournament 2025 top sleeper bet
Si Woo Kim (40/1)
Kim often quips that he will never beat Scheffler. What if he changed that narrative this weekend? The South Korean has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2025 season, and he's in his finest form over the past couple months. He has gained six strokes per start against the field over his past five events, driven mostly by his elite putting game, driving accuracy and par-4 scoring.
Kim has finished in the top 18 at the Memorial five straight times. Year in and year out, he hits the Muirfield fairways and greens in regulation with elite proficiency, and he has gained strokes with his short game in five straight starts. Getting 40/1 on Kim to win — or 11/10 on him to finish top 20 — seems like a gift from the linemakers.
The Memorial Tournament 2025 best bet to place top 20
Sam Burns (6/5, Paddy Power)
Since finishing a somewhat-disappointing T46 at the Masters, Burns has turned on the jets and stormed toward June in style. He finished T13 at RBC Heritage, T5 at the Byron Nelson, T30 at Truist and T19 at the PGA Championship. He should be well-rested after skipping the Charles Schwab Challenge, and we like him to finish at least in the top 20 at Muirfield.
Burns ranks 38th on TOUR in total driving, 11th in birdie average, and first in shots gained with the putter. If he can get his wedge game going this weekend, he has a chance to surprise some of the bigger names at the top of the Memorial field.
