The 2025 UEFA Women’s Championship has already had some thrills and spills as we make our way through the final round of the group stage, with the defending champions England still in danger of being eliminated.

The only way in which they could be knocked out would be on goal difference, and that seems unlikely. Leading into the tournament, one of the key areas of concern for the Lionesses was the fitness of Lauren James, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury. She was played out of position against France and it all looked a bit rotten, but her performance against the Dutch was the spark that England needed.
