Chelsea vs. Man Utd betting tips, predictions and odds for Premier League Friday night clash image

Chelsea face Manchester United in the Premier League on Friday night, with both sides distracted by Europe.

The penultimate matchday of the 2025 season features two heavyweights meeting at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea, who must win in their fight to qualify for next season's Champions League, host United, who are having a poor season domestically but are looking to build confidence ahead of the Europa League final against Tottenham later this month.

A 2-0 defeat against Newcastle complicated the Blues' hopes of playing Champions League football in 2025/26. Although they remain in the top five with 63 points, they are only ahead of Aston Villa due to their better goal difference, while Nottingham Forest, who will host Chelsea on the final day, are just a point further back.

Things could take a decisive turn on Friday, as Villa face Tottenham on the same night in an earlier kick-off.

Enzo Maresca's team can only rely on themselves, and they will look to settle Premier League matters before their own European final in the UEFA Conference League on May 28.

Ruben Amorim of Man United

United are almost able to see the back of one of their worst-ever seasons in the English league: they sit in 16th place with just 39 points after 10 wins, nine draws, and 17 losses.

A 2-0 defeat to West Ham last time out extended their winless league streak to seven, and Chelsea pose a significant challenge for Ruben Amorim's men.

According to 10bet, Chelsea are the clear favourite. A Blues win can be had at 37/100, while a Manchester United victory rises to 31/5. A draw is 4/1.

Chelsea vs. Man Utd odds, betting tips and predictions

Enzo Fernandez to score or assist: (29/20, William Hill)

At just 24 years old, Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez — a World Cup winner at Qatar 2022 — has been entrusted with the Chelsea captain's armband and also commands the team from the centre of the pitch. With 13 assists already this season (seven in the Premier League), Enzo makes a significant contribution to his team-mates' goals, but he's also become accustomed to making surprise appearances on the scoresheet himself. With his last goal in the recent 3-1 win over Liverpool, he reached seven goals in the 2024/25 season (he has already equaled the mark from 2023/24) and he is a decent shout here to once again guide the Blues to victory.

Chelsea to be leading at half-time: (31/40, betway)

The Londoners are clearly fancied to win at Stamford Bridge, and the smart money has them making a fast start. Chelsea have scored first and led at half-time in four of their last five matches: Everton (1-0), Djurgardens (2-0), Liverpool (3-1), and again in the Conference League semi-final second leg against the Swedish side (1-0). Another key factor? Three of those four games were in London...
